Samsung vu7000

by

This is the first time Samsung is bringing their bag-less upright vacuum cleaner to the United States and they are doing it with the vu7000 motion sync vacuum. Featuring the Samsung Motion Sync design which allows for easy movement, along with a fully detachable handheld vacuum, cyclone force multi-technology, hepa filtration, edge cleaning, and a motorized brush bar.  The Samsung vu7000 offers many great features for someone looking for a new, powerful and versatile vacuum along with a five-year warranty.

What’s in the box:
Samsung has made assembly of the vu7000 motion sync vacuum very easy. With only four total parts in the box including the vacuum base, detachable unit, extension pole and accessory. In addition to some printed material too.

Setup:
Setup of the vu7000 was very easy considering there was only four pieces to assemble. I reviewed some of the documentation on some of the controls such as turning the brush roller on, how to use the detachable vacuum, and open and remove the canister for disposal of all the vacuumed junk. If you just take a few minutes to look over the vacuum most of it is common sense.

Usage:
Using the Samsung vu7000 motion sync vacuum was relatively easy. The foot press which allows you to lean the vacuum back and move was a little hard to do but my guess would be that it would get easier over time as you use it more. The big wheels on the vacuum allow for easy movement on different surfaces but only when the top of the vacuum is titled back. If it was in the upright position and I just leaned the vacuum back with out step on the vacuum base it was not as easy to roll. The motion sync design which is a swivel design allows the users to swivel and move in many different directions and allowing for more vacuum freedom which was very nice not having to pick the vacuum up to make quick or tight turns.

Emptying the dirt chamber  was very easy too..just a click of a button the chamber comes off and then another button to release all the dirt into a waste bin. Finally the detachable vacuum was great .. weighing only a few pounds it was very light and also quite powerful. It had it’s own motor and dirt chamber and the brush extension accessory was all built in to it — to use the brush all you need to do was slide it down the extender pole. I like attached accessories .. no need to go looking for an attachment anymore.

Final Thoughts:
Overall, I really enjoyed using the Samsung motion sync vu7000 bag-less upright vacuum cleaner. The vacuum’s suction and rollers were quite powerful and when the rollers were engaged you can feel it pulling the vacuum along. The vu7000 also features a built in HEPA filter, 12.7” wide vacuum path, edge cleaning capabilities, and my favorite the detachable hand-held unit. My only real complaint about the vacuum is the weight of it — sure if you remember some of the older vacuums they were pretty heavy too but the vu7000 weighs in just over 17-lbs and may be a little heavy for some. I do feel that the weight did play some role in the downward pressure on the vacuum getting closer to the floor surface but after doing a few rooms I could feel the burn in my arms from the heavier unit. Nevertheless, the vu7000 performed well and we are looking forward to seeing more bag-less uprights from Samsung in the United States in the near future.

At time of publication the Samsung VU7000 is available for purchase at BestBuy and other online and brick and motor retails will follow soon.
