Sevendust – Black Out The Sun Review

by

Artist: Sevendust
Album: Black Out The Sun

Sevendust - Electric Factory LiveA fan since their debut way back in 1997 I can’t even tell you how many times I have seen Sevendust, hung out with them and did a sit down interview with Morgan Rose. Nevertheless, Atlanta based rockers Sevendust is back again with the recent release of their 9th studio album, Black Out The Sun. When I saw the video for the first single, Decay, I knew the album was going to be great and deliver that classic Sevendust sound I have loved since day one — maybe just a little darker than previous albums but that only makes it better and more intense.

It’s great how Sevendust songs can be extremely aggressive and in your face while other songs or parts of songs could be relaxed and slow like the instrumental opening to the album. Since it’s release in late March records have already reported that in first week the album sold 27,000 copies in the United States and landed at position No. 18 on The Billboard 200 chart. I enjoyed the entire album from start to finish and the title track Black Out The Sun may just be lined up for the second single and I can totally see this track getting a lot of airplay.

Featuring thirteen unforgettable tracks Black Out The Sun, which is available now, is sure to please all current Sevendust fans and will without a doubt lure in new fans too. Sevendust will be touring this spring with Coal Chamber and Lacuna Coil.  Enjoy the music!
